The new and stylish Männlichen mountain station building stands at over two thousand meters above sea level, where the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau form a majestic backdrop. The south side of the roof was covered with a 3S solar roof of the “Alpin” type – one of the few solar systems that can be used in alpine regions. Snow and wind loads are no problem for this system. Together with the solid façade construction, the photovoltaic system forms a durable and high-quality building envelope that can withstand the exceptional demands of the alpine mountain region at all times.
